Around 550 Students and Teachers from Swarna Shiksha English School, Gokarna, Kathmandu march passed passed in various part of the community and organized a writing workshop on Budha with Lumbini and Kapilvastu to celebrate the Second Kapilvastu Day - 2010. The program was headed by Mr. Govinda Shrestha, the Principal of School. School is a fan of Kapilvastu Day Campaign which is formed with the purpose of providing information on Buddha, Buddhism and Peace Related materials. They celebrated 1st Kapilvastu Day Campaign 2009 with similar programs.

Famous playwright and novelist Govinda Bahadur Malla 'Gothale' passed away on Monday. He was suffering from asthma and other bodily ailments since long. Malla, 88, died at around 12 in the afternoon at the Himal Hospital located in Kamalpokhari where he was undergoing treatment since Dec 5. Born in 1979 B.S in Ombahal of Kathmandu, Malla had a prolific writing career which saw half a dozen plays and novels published, among which Bhush ko Aago, Chyatiyeko Parda and Pallo Gharko Jhyal are very popular. He was honoured with various awards during his lifetime for his contribution to Nepali letters. Malla is survived by a son and four daughters.
